VSP Eye Doctor Network: Find In-Network Eye Doctors

When you are picking vision insurance for yourself or your family, one thing worth checking is how big the vision plan's eye doctor network is. A larger network means more doctors near you, and more chances to keep your out-of-pocket costs low.

What is an eye doctor network?

An eye doctor network, sometimes called a provider network, is a group of independent optometrists who have been approved to accept your VSP® Individual Vision Plan. Before a doctor joins, they are vetted on their licensing, work history, education, malpractice record, professional liability, and ethics, so you can feel good about who you are seeing.

Why should I see an in-network eye doctor?

Seeing an in-network doctor is the best way to get the full value of your plan and keep your costs down. These doctors have agreed to provide the services your plan covers, and because their offices are connected to VSP's systems, using your benefits is quick and easy on your end.

Are vision insurance doctor networks the same?

No. Networks are different from one company to the next, and sometimes even from one plan to another within the same company. That is why it is worth making sure your current eye doctor is included, or that there is a doctor in the network close to your home or work. To check, head to the VSP Find a Doctor page and enter your ZIP code.

What members say about VSP Individual Vision Plans

"It is so easy to use this plan. My eye doctor's office takes care of everything. The savings are fantastic! I was actually very surprised at the amount I saved." - Marie, Gilbert, Arizona

"My first experience with VSP was through a past employer. I enjoyed the benefits, but knew they would end when I quit my job. I was so excited to see that they were offering individual plans, but was a little concerned the cost might be too much. I was so happy to find the costs are very reasonable, since I already knew I would be saving money on my glasses. I have saved hundreds of dollars and know that my eye health is in good hands." - Lindsey S., Black Eagle, Montana
